can anyone recommend a software program for checking the elevation profile of a link. We are looking to setup a 30 mile PtP shot between two 350ft towers and need to check the path along the earth. It should be fine, but planning it out wont hurt.

We used to use a program for this several years back, but I dont remember what that program was.

thanks!

I recommend and use Radio Mobile: http://www.cplus.org/rmw/english1.html

WARNING: Windows required, and the interface is not very intuitive.
But there are good guides for setup, once you have everything tuned it
works very well.

Until recently, the only way TV engineers could obtain an accurate
terrain-sensitive plot of a station's coverage was to buy an expensive
program or pay a consultant to create the map. The excellent Web site
tvfool.com (http://www.tvfool.com/) now provides Longley-Rice plots of
station coverage over a Google Earth map, but the plot is based on the
azimuth pattern in the FCC database and the generic OET-69 elevation
pattern.
